Fishing Report from TPWD (May 31)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 77-82 degrees; 1.40 feet below pool. Striped bass to 15 pounds are possible on the lower ends on live bait. Crappie fishing is good on underwater brush piles and bridge pilings using jigs or small minnows. White bass fishing is fair on slabs and minnows in town near the Shores to Indian Harbor. Look for schools of sandies on flats in 10-15 feet of water. Largemouth bass continue to be good in numbers with an occasional fish to eight pounds. The topwater bite can be good near main lake points. Large blue and yellow catfish continue to be good on cut bait fished on the upper ends near channel breaks. Report by Michael Acosta, Unfair Advantage Charters. Lake Granbury striped bass are great on live bait mid to south end of the lake along river and creek channels. They can also be caught trolling umbrella-rigs as well as dropping slabs. Report provided by Kraig Sexton, Sexton's Guide Service LLC, Fishing Charter, Marine Electronics & Whitney.
