Fishing Report from TPWD (Oct. 5)

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 80 degrees; 2.41 feet low. The fishing patterns will remain similar, with the fish biting picking up in pace as the water temperatures decline. Striped bass are slow trolling umbrella-rigs with white or chartreuse grub tails, trolling deep diving crankbaits but live shad seems to work the best drifting shallow flats on the south end of the lake. Report provided by Kraig Sexton, Sexton's Guide Service LLC, Fishing Charter, Marine Electronics & Accessories Installation. Bass are fair in the river and on deep ledges where rock and timber are present using soft plastics and jerk baits. Report by James Moore, North Texas Bass Fishing and Cmoore Striper Guide Services.
