This lake features 103 miles of shoreline and more than 8,000 square feet of water. Considered one of the best places for fishing in Texas, fishermen can find a variety of bass, catfish, crappie, sunfish, and Longnose gar. There is plenty do around Lake Granbury for the serious vacationer.

  1. Lakeside Haven - Lakeside Haven is just 45 minutes from Fort Worth a little over an hour from Dallas. This 2-bedroom, 2-bath getaway is the perfect site for a family vacation. It features 4 deck levels, a swimming pool, lots of shade trees, and beautiful lake views. With a private cove for the fisherman and a private dock for the boaters, there is never a moment for boredom. Situated on a cul de sac overlooking a private cove, you’ll enjoy the beautiful views overlooking the lake and gorgeous sunsets. There’s a swimming dock and a nearby marina. There’s also a fully stocked kitchen and a fireplace. In town, you’ll find wineries, restaurants, a live theater, music, and some great shopping venues. Lake Granbury Fishing Report from TPWD (Oct. 21)

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 72 degrees; 0.23 low. Largemouth bass are good on jerk baits, spinnerbaits, and Texas-rigged plastic worms in 10-24’ near boathouses, submerged timber, and rock ledges. Crappie fishing is good around brush piles and boat docks with minnows and jigs. Catfishing is good with cut bait or shrimp. White bass are good using slabs, small crankbaits, and swimbaits. Stripers are good with live bait or trolling with swimbaits along the main lake channel in 20-35”. Watch for birds diving on feeding schools.
